Preventive and acute care for the outer islands has been unjustly minimal due to the distance from the hospital and the lack of priorities given by the State to the medical needs of the outer islanders. The Fanapi Foundation supports the Fanapi Center in its effort to fund health education programs and the building of a centrally located health clinic specifically for the outer islanders and collaborate with humanitarian organizations globally to send volunteers to provide direct medical and acute dental care while training the local personnel in basic health care skills.
Acute Care
Provide acute care services for the people of the Northwest region (fanapi) by bringing volunteer dentists, optometrists, and other medical personnel to operate community clinics.
Preventative Care
Organize health education opportunities to support preventative care.
Volunteers
Recruit and coordinate teams of volunteer dentists, medical personnel from partner medical associations in the global community to visit the outer island clinics to serve the health needs of the outer islands.
Clinics
Oversee the renovation or building of health clinics in the outer islands and proper training of the personnel who work in the clinic.
